What changes can you expect to see starting June 22, 2010?
NO MEMBERSHIP # - Member # and Names instead
Following conversion, we will be organizing your personal member information in a different way.
Instead of membership # to identify accounts, we will use your NAME and/or your personal Member #.
When we look up your NAME or Member # all of your banking information will be available -
Your NEW personal Member Number will now link you to all the dealings you have at the Grandview Credit Union.
Will your existing account numbers change?
No your existing full account numbers will not change and convert as is- New accounts numbers open after conversion will be random.
NAME your account
Name your accounts! You are special. We’ve always known this… and now so does our banking technology. There is no longer a need to memorize account numbers. Naming your accounts will also allow your member service rep to identify your accounts faster!
WATCH for NEW Statement Look and format.
Following the migration to the new system, member statements will have a different look and format.
Personal Banking statements cut off will be the 18th of the month; statements for Business/Ag will remain at the end of the Month
We can customize how you receive your statement. Presently you get a statement for each membership . After conversion, the membership numbers no longer exist and statements are attached to you personally; therefore, we can send you all of your personal accounts information on 1 statement or on different statements.
If you would like to change how your statements are combined, come and see us after conversion and we will change it.
NOTE: If you have changed your Statement Frequency to be Quarterly, Semi Anually or Annually, expect to get them MONTHLY again after conversion. The Statement Frequencies have been reset to the Monthly Default in order for you to be able to review them after conversion and make sure that they fit your need. The Statements will be printed monthly until such time we trust they print exactly as required.
INTERNET BANKING & TELEPHONE BANKING
IMPORTANT!!!
In order to safeguard your personal information while conversion is occuring, both the Internet Banking and the Telephone Banking will be RESET:
INTERNET BANKING
Your LOG IN Access will require temporary PINs, which will be communicated to you in a separate correspondence.
After the conversion weekend, when you first access internet or telephone banking, you will use the temporary Personal Access Code (PAC). Then, simply follow the instructional prompts given in MemberDirect and TeleService.
Once we've converted to the new banking system, ALL your account history from CU@Home will be lost! Please make sure you print or download a copy of your history just before Conversion Weekend which begins June 18 @ 5:30PM.
Any bill payments you've setup on CU@Home will also be lost and need to be re-entered.
Please make sure you print or record those for easy re-entry after conversion. The Grandview Credit Union will not have records of those. they are your private information.
All bookmarks and favorites made to CU@Home prior to our conversion will no longer work
Please remember to visit our website after conversion and use the link on our home page to access the new internet banking site
TELEPHONE BANKING
After conversion you will notice changes to how you login to CUByPhone telephone banking.
You will need your Membercard Digits rather than the 12 Digit PAC you are presently using.
One of the biggest differences is that you will need an active Member Card in order to access the new system. If you do not have a Member Card please contact us to get one. If you have more than one Member Card, please use the card with the lowest number when logging into the new system.
CUByPhone will have a new toll-free number within Canada, which will be communicated to you as we get closer to conversion week end.
WHAT DOES NOT CHANGE AFTER CONVERSION?
Our goal is to minimize impact on members throughout the conversion process and beyond.
Here are some of the services that will not be affected:
* Membercard debit cards will continue to function as usual after the week end. PIN numbers will not change.
*Direct Deposits and pre-authorized transactions including transfers, automatic deposits and payroll will continue to process as usual.
* Existing cheques will continue to work through your account and there is no need to order new cheques
*All product and services shall remain the same with some additional ones to be added post conversion.
WHY is your Credit Union Converting?
June 21st, 2010, the Grandview Credit Union will convert the software used to manage its core business to new state-of-the art banking system developed by our technology partner, Celero Solutions. Converting to a new system was a system wide decision that was not made lightly and we believe that converting to a new banking system will help us to streamline and improve the efficiency of our service to those that made it possible for us to still be here today - our members. Our existing system has served us well for almost 15 years but with technology continually becoming more and more advanced, our current banking system can no longer live up to today's fast paced and members' rising expectations.
We are working cooperatively with other Manitoba Credit Unions that have already converted to the new system and learning from their experience and implementing best practices. The new system has enhanced security features to protect member's personal information and is fully compliant with all privacy legislation.
What are some new features of the new banking system?
The new banking system will be more powerful and feature-rich than our current system. We want to give you more control and thankfully today's technology is enabling us to provide you with those options. So, what kind of new features and changes can you expect to see after conversion? Here's a sneak peak at some of the new products and services we're working towards:
Future date bill payments online
Same day bill payment reversals online
Rename your account online
Arrange recurring transfers online
Arrange scheduled transfers and recurring bill payments online
When is Conversion?
June 21,2010 is our official conversion date when we will be operating under the new banking system. In order to ensure a smooth transition from the old banking system to the new one, we will be preparing your membership data to be transferred over to the new banking system starting June 18, 2010 at 5:30pm through June 21, 2010.
The whole conversion procress actually started Jan 5, 2010 with many different processes completed by staff and management to make sure that the data and functionality of the existing system converts accurately to the new one.
Staff and Management each will go through a total of 25 days of intense training and total up over 500 hours of overtime in order to understand everything possible and provide the exceptional quality service you expect and deserve. We realize there will be some obstacles along the way that we will need to overcome. We ask that you please bear with us during such times as we work through the difficulties and learn to assist you more efficiently and effectively.
